Development Engineer Assistant
Air Quality Research Center
Josh started as a student assistant repairing equipment in the IMPROVE shop and traveling to field sampling sites for regularly scheduled biennial maintenance. He enjoyed his position making old equipment work again, developing new equipment, traveling to remote areas, and meeting site operators. After graduating, he was offered a full time position as a field maintenance technician. Also an avid hiker, climber, backpacker, and paddler, he loves the opportunity to visit remote IMPROVE sites in national parks and forest, and guides for the UC Davis Outdoor Adventure program in his spare time. Since starting, he has now visited almost every IMPROVE air sampling site and is a good resource for site operators to contact about questions and concerns.
