2016 Atmospheric Chemical Mechanisms Conference

Event Date

Location
UC Davis Conference Center
This year marks our tenth anniversary for the biennial twin conferences - Atmospheric Chemical Mechanisms (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016) and International Aerosol Modeling Algorithms (2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015). Our conference sponsor, the California Air Resources Board, has worked to insure that the best science available is incorporated into the models that inform air quality and climate policy here in California. To this end we have brought together the top scientists from around the globe to share their research findings and discuss new approaches and methods to improve on our ever-developing understanding of how the chemical constituents of our atmosphere impact the earth's climate and the air upon which all life depends.

To mark and celebrate this milestone year - we are giving the 2016 ACM conference the subtitle:
"Linking Atmospheric Chemistry to Model Development and Policy:
A Decade of Research and New Horizons"
We hope that with this focus - we can stand back a little and assess where we have come from and where we are headed to in the drive to understand atmospheric chemical mechanisms and their place in the developing models.
