Bio

Emily Schlickman is Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design at the University of California, Davis. Her research focuses on the intersection of technology, digital representation, urban futures, and climate change adaptation. Currently, her work explores the role of mapping, modeling, and monitoring techniques in democratizing data on climate-related vulnerabilities and opportunities to design for urban resilience.

Prior to joining the faculty at the University of California, Davis, Emily co-led research efforts at SWA where she also practiced professionally as a landscape and urban designer. She holds a Master in Landscape Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Environmental Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.

Her research focuses on climate change adaptation and urban resilience.
